Product DetailsThe ProTHERMIC PH series is a complete range of high-frequency induction preheaters that incorporate the most advanced high-frequency solid-state technology. Wire preheating is an essential operation to achieve moisture removal from the wire, improve stripping characteristics, and prevent pinhole and bare patch failures.The Proton InteliTHERMTM non-contact spectral radiation wire temperature gauge is now available for use with new or existing preheaters.For induction preheating of solid and stranded copper, copper-clad, and aluminum wires up to 200°C (300°C for high-temperature models (-HT)) before insulation extrusion.The dual-wire model supports two wires in parallel for simultaneous heating (each wire's pulleys rotate independently).Maximum power transfer rate to the cable EEE 96% (Electrical Energy Efficiency) ensures minimal losses and maximum utilization of available power.Uses a parabolic control algorithm to ensure a high degree of heating accuracy for all line speeds and wire sizes.Integrated (optional) InteliTHERM 'spectral radiation' temperature measurement available for greater accuracy in wire temperature measurement and control.Improves insulation adhesion to the cable and stripping characteristics, especially at high line speeds.Housed in robust enclosures to withstand harsh industrial environments.Controlled via an easy-to-use menu-based LCD interface display unit.Available with standard or optional communication interfaces.Available in different power models suitable for all budgets and line speeds.Available in three-phase supply voltage models of 200, 400, and 480 VAC.TechnologyThe short-circuit pulley rim is made of a special copper alloy with high electrical conductivity and good wear resistance.The insulating pulley is made of resin-bonded fabric, offering good wear resistance and low thermal conductivity to minimize heat loss between the cable and the pulley.The pulleys are mounted on double-row, low-friction ball bearings to minimize drag force (tension increase) on the wire as it passes through the preheater.
