High-Frequency Spark TestersInteliSENS® HF Series High-Frequency Spark Testers are designed to meet International Standards for cable insulation testing: UL1581, EN50356, IEC62230.High-frequency spark testers allow for a significant increase in production line speed compared to mains frequency tests, especially for UL1581, where the 9-cycle requirement makes the necessary electrode length for mains frequency tests impractical. Compared to mains frequency tests, high-frequency tests generate an ionization cloud at relatively low voltage, ensuring complete coverage of the cable surface. Made of stainless steel, HF series spark testers are designed to operate in harsh environments where cooling water is often present.Quick-change electrodePin-hole and bare patch detectionBead chain or brush electrodeOzone extraction pointStainless steel bodyCompliance with EN50356 / IEC62230 / UL1581PerformanceST1525-HFST1550-HFMinimum diameter0.4 mm0.015″0.5 mm0.019″Maximum diameter25 mm1″50 mm2"Minimum test voltage1kV(rms)1kV(rms)Maximum test voltage15kV(rms)15kV(rms)Line speed according to UL 15813000m/min9800ft/minTest frequency2.1 kHz to 4.5 kHzAccuracyFactory calibrated within 2% kV(rms)Resolution 0.1 kV(rms)ElectrodeQuick-change bead chain and brush electrodesModeDetection and identification of pinholes and bare patchesElectrical and Operating RequirementsPower supply100 - 240 VACPower consumption150WOperating temperature5°C - 45°C (41-113°F)Environmental protectionIP 54ConnectivityMaximum pulses of 50 V, maximum frequency of 250 kHz, user scalableSafety interlock input to enable EHT test output voltage1x Fixed logic input: Remote EHT output enable2x Selectable logic inputs: HV switch, Reset, Release relayIsolated contacts, max capacity 50 VDC / 30 VDC / 0.5 ASelectable function: High voltage indication, Pin-hole detected, Bare-Patch detected, Pin-Hole or Bare-Patch detected, Maximum fault count reached0 - 10 VDC; controls EHT test output voltage, user scalable0 - 10 VDC; proportional to measured EHT test output voltage, user scalableRS232 Modbus communicationsUSB via RS232 - USB converter cableZM4000 Printer communicationsConnects to Proton Products CDi4 displayEthernet TCP/IP Modbus is default communication.
